Continues the campaign of operational projection of ship Giovanni delle Bande Nere in Indopacifico. The multi mission fighter unit (MPCS) will reach the island of Guam on 9 June next, where it will make a stop at the naval base located in the port of Apra, until 12 June.
The Unity, which lasted 3 May from the naval base of Taranto, will touch 10 ports, consolidating the national presence in the Region in the within of a wider international cooperation, aimed at the valorization of the “Italian System” in technological, industrial and cultural terms, and to the promotion of Italian excellence during the main events organized during the course of the campaign.
During transit to the East, ship Giovanni delle Bande Nere will support the main international operations to which Italy participates and will take part in two multinational addestrative events such as RIMPAC 26, from 24 June to 28 July, and Pacific Dragon 26, from 3 to 20 August. The activities of Naval Diplomacy and the enhancement of the industrial excellence of Defense will be fundamental.
During the stay in Guam there will be cooperation initiatives and meetings of naval diplomacy.
In line with the strategic objectives of the projection campaign and in the groove of the consolidation of the relations of international collaboration already started in the past from the units of the Navy in the Region, the ship stop Giovanni delle Bande Nere in Guam reaffirms the will of the Italian Defense to represent the national ability to operate in global marine contexts and strengthen cooperation with the Marine partners, favoring the protection of the lines of marine communication and the freedom of navigation.
