Valentina Bivona de I Cesaroni: “Marta looks like me, and I dream of New York”

Twenty years in August, a career that is taking off to the great and a smile that charms: Valentina Bivona is Marta, the daughter of Marco and Eva, in the sequel to the popular series I Cesaroni, which is about to end on Channel 5 and will land on Netflix on June 15. That’s what he told us.

Marta, your character is a teenager just arrived from New York where the mother, who in the original series was played by Alessandra Mastronardi, had moved in the last season. Have you ever been there?

No, I don’t know New York, but it’s one of my dream cities. In fact, I would like to be able to move there for a period to study acting, because thanks to Marta I had the opportunity to deepen the American language together with a coach, and I fell in love with it. The American when acting has a different sense, a different expressiveness.

The Cesaroni debuted on TV in 2006, you were just born, how did you meet her?

Looking at the last seasons as a child with my family: I loved it, and then I recovered the first streaming. My parents were some kind of rite, and it seemed to me to review the same little problems, the same beatings that we also had, maybe with grandparents, or with uncles. Thanks to the series I realized that certain things happen in all families.

Favorite character?

I was a child, and so I identified myself with the little house, Mimmo (the actor Federico Russo, ndr). Then I knew him, and it was wonderful.

Is there something Marta looks like you?

There is a lot of me in her, I reviewed myself in high school, in my 16 years, equally “inspired” emotionally. But I’m a lot quieter and more disciplined.

The Cesaroni was a cult, part of it changed you somehow?

Thanks to Marta today they write me a lot of people, I receive hundreds of messages, and it is nice to know that people appreciate my work, they identify, thank me. He gave me a lot of strength and security in myself.

You started being a very young actress. How did you get there?

I’ve always wanted to act as a child. My little friends stepped on their feet because they wanted to dance or gymnastics, I was the actress. I was watching a lot of movies. I was in love with Matilde. My parents do not belong to the world of entertainment, and we lived in a village of Marche that is not even on the map, Santa Maria Nuova, so at first the route was complicated. I have to thank my mom, who managed to find me an agency. As long as, at 6 years, I had the first confirmation by participating in an important advertisement, and from there I went on.

Returning to I Cesaroni: Marta is a little muddy pepper, for you how important it is to smile, in life?

I think I am a sincere person, and also positive and optimistic: smiling for me counts a lot. But above all, I try to make my smile always true, an authentic smile.
