MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Experience, innovation, leadership and new skills: these are the themes at the center of the first round of Crossings, the cycle of meetings dedicated to the transformations that are redefining the world of enterprises and organizations, organized by 50yet and Italpress and hosted at the Milan office of the press agency. The first edition of the format was dedicated to coexistence among several generations within companies and SMEs, in a scenario where digital and artificial intelligence are accelerating change and redefining organizational models, leadership and culture of work. Conducted by the journalist, television and editorialist Italpress Claudio Brachino, the meeting brought together entrepreneurs, managers, university teachers and professionals who are called to confront the new challenges of companies: from the transmission of skills between generations to the construction of more inclusive managerial models, to the ability to integrate technological innovation and senior experience. Riccardo Adamo, founder of Aerre Partners and 50yet, Carmine Tripodi, professor of Business Economics at the University of the Aosta Valley, Isabella Pierantoni, sociologist, futurist and founder of Generation Mover, Mauro Baglietto, General Manager of Borsalino, Sergio Azzolari, strategic advisor and already CEO of Roberto Cavalli and Dsquared2, as well as a video contribution of Lello Calto “The theme of generational transition is not only about the continuity of companies, but the ability to transfer values, vision and experience to new generations without losing speed in innovation – said Riccardo Adamo –. This meeting stems from the desire to create an authentic comparison space between different experiences and generations, united by the same ambition: understanding how the multi-generation workforce today represents a real growth engine for businesses and what concrete solutions can be, such as the innovative 50yet platform that allows integration in the company of senior experts with over 20 years of field work. Experts that bring experience, awareness, relational intelligence and ability to read complex contexts.” The strategic value of the multigenerational human capital is the theme of the book “The century of generations. Discover the multigenerational capital and anticipate the future” published by Il Mulino and written by Isabella Pierantoni, who took part in the meeting. “For the first time in history, eight generations live together and in the longer-lived contexts up to five can work together, each with different visions and values. A complex coexistence, but also a little understood and valued human heritage – says Pierantoni -. The challenge today is to transform this coexistence into a resource for individuals and businesses by building stronger relationships, smarter organizations and work models capable of interpreting change. Young people do not have the experience but listen to them, understanding their vision is an important contribution to the working teams that will be stronger if transgenerational”. During the event it has emerged strongly how the companies that will be able to create real bridges between managerial experience and to merge the different visions present in the company will be those able to face with greater solidity the transformations of the market. “The level of comparison between managers, entrepreneurs, teachers and professionals present confirms how the market needs concrete moments of cultural and strategic contamination. This is only the first step of a path that wants to focus people, ideas and ability to interpret change,” Adam concluded. According to Carmine Tripodi, “The continuity of the success of SMEs is played in the ability to accompany the integration into the company of new generations: to define a context of clear rules and cblock a robust and personalized training path, to acquire the skills necessary to play a role of great responsibility. Mentorship should not be vertical or paternalistic.” Central the sharing of the corporate vision, the mission, to allow to focus different thoughts on shared goals.” “There is an absolute necessity to remove prejudices, to have a orientation towards dialogue, only so can you really create added value in companies, to resist time and to face technological innovation and AI. Values have changed, young people have a different attitude than work; private time has become more important. The new generations do not seek a job for life, they want to build their own path also through experiences of individual enrichment – says Sergio Azzolari, manager of international experience in the fashion industry -. For companies such as Borsalino, which focus on maintaining their heritage values and artisanal tradition, it is even more difficult to talk about generational transition – comments Mauro Baglietto -, there is a greater rigidity that must be compared, every day, with the need to operate in a global context and to confront the world of luxury and the griffe that proceeds at a very fast pace in continuous renewal even in its values”. With this first appointment, Crossings inaugurates a journey of meetings that will address further issues related to the evolution of work, management and markets, with the goal “to foster comparison, strategic vision and cultural contamination among different worlds. Put the differences together and value for companies.”.
