Sunday and Monday 6.2 million Italians called to the polls for municipal elections

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Approximately 6.2 million Italians, 10% of the total, will be called to the polls Sunday and Monday for the administrative elections. The municipalities will be 743, of which 118 over 15,000 inhabitants. In detail there are 18 provincial leaders called to vote: Agrigento, Andria, Arezzo, Avellino, Chieti, Crotone, Enna, Fermo, Lecco, Macerata, Mantova, Messina, Pistoia, Prato, Reggio Calabria, Salerno, Trani and Venice. Sunday, May 24 the polls will be open from 7 to 23, Monday 25 from 7 to 15. The displacement of the cards will begin immediately after. In the municipalities above 15,000 inhabitants, if no candidate gets the absolute majority, he will go to the ballot on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 June. In Sicily and Friuli Venezia Giulia the threshold for the first round is 40%+1. In Venice, the only capital of the region to the vote, the outgoing mayor Luigi Brugnaro cannot relapse after two mandates. The centredestra nominates the outgoing Councillor Simone Venturini. The centre left on Andrea Martella, former MP of the Pd. In the field also the civic candidates Andrea Martini, Pierangelo Del Zotto, Michele Boldrin, Claudio Vernier, Roberto Agirmo and Luigi Corò. In Lombardy, in Lecco, the outgoing mayor Matteo Gattinoni (centrosinistra) is challenged by the candidate of the center-right Filippo Boscagli. In total five candidates, supported by 11 lists. In Mantua the candidate center Andrea Murari, for the centerright runs Raffaele Zancuoghi. The M5S nominates Mirko Gragnato.

In Tuscany, in Arezzo, the centre of the district focuses on Marcello Comanducci, the centerpiece in a wide field version on Vincenzo Ceccarelli. In Pistoia, the center of Pistoia is presented with Anna Maria Celesti, the current mayor acting, Giovanni Capecchi.
In Prato you vote after the resignation of the mayor Ilaria Bugetti (centrosinistra) for a warranty notice. The wide field presents former mayor Matteo Biffoni, the candidate centre Gianluca Banchelli. In the Marches, in Fermo the former mayor Paolo Calcinaro, who left the tricolor band to the vice and regent Mauro Torresi, supports the civic candidate Alberto Maria Scarfini, outgoing councilman. Leonardo Tosoni is the candidate of the centre-right, Angelica Malvatani runs for the centre-left. In Macerata, Sandro Parcaroli is challenged for the centre-right and Gianluca Tittarelli for the centre-left. In Abruzzo, in Chieti for the centresinistra runs Giovanni Legnini, the center is divided: Cristiano Sicari (FdI, FI, Noi Moderati) and Mario Colantonio (Lega e Azione politica).

In Campania we vote in Salerno, where Vincenzo De Luca returns, former president of the Region and already first citizen from 1993 to 2001 and then from 2006 to 2015. It is supported by 7 lists but without the symbol of the PD. The candidate centre Gherardo Maria Marenghi, the M5S and Avs Franco Massimo Lanocita. To Avellino three most accredited candidates, all with a mayoral or deputy mayoral past: In the Pizza (PD, M5S, Mastella), Laura Nargi (n-centrodestra area: FI, FdI) and Gianluca Festa (civilized with League and UDC). In Puglia, in Andria, Giovanna Bruno of the center-left Sabino Napolitano challenge for the center-right. In Trani in campo Marco Galiano per il centrosinistra, Angelo Guarriello per il centrodestra, Vito Branà per il M5S e Giacomo Marinaro con liste civiche. In Reggio Calabria, Francesco Cannizzaro, deputy and regional secretary of Forza Italia, has 12 coalition lists (including Action). The centre-left focuses on Domenico Battaglia, mayor acting after the election of Giuseppe Falcomatà in the Regional Council, with 6 lists. In Crotone Vincenzo Voce of the centerright challenge Giuseppe Trocino of the centerleft.
In Sicily, Federico Basile (Sud Call North of Cateno De Luca), after resigning in February and then back in the race, challenged by Antonella Russo for the centre-left and by Marcello Scurria of the center-right. At Agrigento Dino Alonge for the centerright challenge Michele Sodano for the centreleft, while at Enna Mirello Crisafulli for the centerleft he faces Ezio De Rose for the centerright and Ezio Fiammetta supported by civic lists.
