Minimum salary, Schlein “We will beat in Parliament”

TORINO (ITALPRESS) – “In a country with the lowest wages in Europe, a minimum wage must be approved soon. The minimum wage exists in 22 European countries, where it helped families and workers to support inflation and the energy crisis of these years. There is no reason in the world for which we do not go ahead and we will go ahead, along with other oppositions, because as you know for the minimum wage we have proposed a law together with all the other oppositions and on this we will continue to insist also in Parliament”. So the secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, today visiting the Turin Book Fair.

“On the tax ground we will also discuss with other opposition forces, as we have done, proposing different measures starting from those who support young people who want to stay in Italy – Schlein added. We never talk about it, but we are a country in which young people see themselves proposing precarious contracts, hunger wages and many feel compelled to leave, while it must always be a choice made to enrich their path of life and professional, never by compulsion or lack of opportunity”.
