Giorgetti “We are going through a complex phase, but the Italian economy is resilient”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – “As for Italy, we are going through a very complex phase. The global context is difficult, financial conditions are more restrictive and business flows are slowing down. Nevertheless, the Italian economy has proved resilient and sufficiently solid to address the current uncertainty“. The Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti said this in connection with Milan for the 2026 edition of Investopia.

“In this context, fiscal responsibility and a prudent approach to public finances remain the central pillars of the Italian economic strategy – he added – They are essential to preserve market confidence, credibility and stability, and to be able to respond effectively to external shocks.”.

According to the minister, “this trajectory has been recognized positively by financial markets; and this recognition is important because it strengthens Italy’s position as a reliable and predictable partner”.

“It also confirms the solidity of the Italian industrial base and the export-oriented economy, which continue to represent key resources in a highly competitive global context,” he concluded.
