Watch the last three and a half years: decrease in industrial production for 37 months on 42, zero growth, record taxes, higher energy costs in Europe, salaries among the lowest and endless waiting lists in health. They have not been claimed.” So the secretary of the PD, Elly Schlein, in an interview with the Republic. “If you don’t see the hard work that citizens do with low wages, star bills and an inflation on the shopping cart that is eroding the purchasing power of families; if you don’t put on the theme of relaunching government action, it means that you just want to shoot. No wonder, this executive was born on a power pact and does everything to preserve it,” he adds. Then, it starts: “Everything is wrong and we are in the field with a united and competitive alliance: when we win the elections, we will not make the same mistake.” To the question if you expect a Europeanist conversion of the premier, Schlein says: “No. So far his strategy has been to oppose the common defence and buy more weapons and gas from the U.S. while making war on renewables. It will be up to us to do the opposite to share the economy: it will serve above all in the South to create good business and quality work. In addition, we will approve the minimum wage and lower the cost of energy that makes companies lose competitiveness. The national interest defends itself, not as our sixteen nationalists do. The progressive alliance is already there, it is the fruit of the stubbornly unitary work of these years, together it presented itself and won in many cities and regions. We will be able to build a credible alternative that speaks of the real problems of the Italians,” said the secretary dem.
