There are those who tried to explain the experience of Italian breakfast in New York

In New York, coffee is a daily gesture, a social habit, a small ritual that changes shape according to neighborhoods and earnings. Yesterday, at the Columbus Citizens Foundation, this “return” was told and put into practice differently from the usual, with an event that tries to explain what “Italian culture” means.

The event “The Italian Breakfast: a Coffee Experience” is organized by the House of Made in Italy with the idea of building an experience around coffee, starting from what in Italy is an element, for many, indispensable in everyday life.

At the center of the meeting a tasting guided by the expert Maria Lorenza Tealdi, arrived from Italy. A path designed for those who drink coffee every day without necessarily stopping to distinguish aromas, extraction modes or cultural differences. In this sense, the event also works as a cultural translation: to make an Italian habit readable in a context, the American one, where coffee has different times, formats and meanings.

The meeting at the Columbus Citizens Foundation is part of a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing Made in Italy. This creates a context in which people can observe and taste.

It is a format that in recent years has spread more and more, especially in cities like New York, where the public is accustomed to moving between different cultures and to recognize their specificities. In this case, the starting point is a cup of coffee.
