Insomnia and cognitive decline, new treatment combines light, music, meditation

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Scientific evidence shows a correlation between chronic insomnia and cognitive decline. In this context, the good news is that in parallel there are also new approaches that can prevent this correlation, allowing people to age well. Of particular interest is a new complementary treatment that helps prevent cognitive decline by combining phototherapy, music therapy and meditation. It is called Cueva de la Luz and is an innovative system reported during the conference “Social Neurosciences: the jigsaw of active ageing”, organized last Monday at the Higher Institute of Health by the Department of Social Neurosciences and the Applied Economic Research Centre in Health (C.R.E.A. Health). To arouse particular interest among the public and the speakers was its main innovation: the integration – for the first time in a single approach – of three methods already recognized individually: phototherapy, musicotherapy 432 hz and guided meditation. In his report, the neurologist, psychotherapist and psychiatrist Valeria Pasqualoni (Department of Health Mentale Asl Roma 1) along with the neurologist Cesare Iani (professional freedom for the Casa di Cura Quisisana), focused on the peculiarities of the system. “The integration between light, sound and guided views in a single integrated approach to the well-being of the person – explains Pasqualoni – can give great benefits, with an innovative technology that allows you to act on psychophysical balance and neural plasticity. A pilot project of experimentation with this method has therefore been launched on people with chronic insomnia, which will allow us to present the results obtained in official offices soon.” Cueva de la Luz, in Italian “Grotta di Luce”, is a registered trademark and system that originates in Spain in 2020 from the studies and intuition of the Genoese Stefania Bertini, who developed a system capable of transforming a room or cabin into a deep relaxation and wellness experience, thanks to the synchronized use of led phototherapy (non UV), musicotherapy with 432 Hz and guided meditation. The combination of these three elements activates the pineal gland by stimulating the production of melatonin and serotonin, and contributing not only to the improvement of chronic insomnia, but also to a lasting psychophysical well-being. Today Cueva de la Luz is present in Spain, Italy and Switzerland. “The method has been born for years of studies on quantum physics and integrated medicines in the desire to realize a simple and effective tool for the well-being and bioenergy rebalancing, in which the most recent discoveries of medicine met the principles of ancient oriental wisdom – says Stefania Bertini -. Today I am really flattered that specialists of so great prestige have decided to start a scientific experimentation on the basis of the results already obtained in recent years on thousands of people of different ages and nationalities”. Cueva de la Luz, which is setting up a scientific foundation to protect and promote research activities independently of commercial activity, will also launch a web app for data collection – in full compliance with standards – and for the development of scientific research. -photo press office Cueva de la Luz –(ITALPRESS).
