The Federation of Health Professions inaugurates the new headquarters in Rome

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – An institutional space designed as a place of comparison between health, culture and society, intended to host events, meetings and initiatives aimed at the public: the National Federation of Orders of Technical Health, Rehabilitation and Prevention (Fno Tsrm and Pstrp) inaugurated its new headquarters in Palazzo Balestra, in Piazza Santi Apostoli in Rome. It is an architectural heritage of great value that integrates with the mission of the Federation, representative of 165 thousand professionals, who operate throughout the national territory. “With the recovery of this place, we feel active part in the enhancement of the artistic heritage,” said President Diego Catania. “It is a historic residence with an invaluable value”, from which “we brought to light and restored the frescoes, paintings and works of art inside it”. A place located in the center of the city, in the heart of the institutions. “From today – Catania continues – our professionals will be closer to the places where decisions are taken, a closeness that is both physical and institutional and that strengthens its representation, so that their commitment is always visible, everywhere and from anyone. In this perspective we hope that our professions will have the right recognition and greater autonomy: this is the mission that will accompany us for the near future”, he concluded. At the cutting of the tape, preceded by the execution of the Inno di Mameli, representatives of the institutions, civil, military and religious authorities, as well as representatives of the health and cultural world. Senator Beatrice Lorenzin, promoter of law 3/2018, who established the Federation and ordered the afferent professions, recalled the “path started together many years ago and that goes on. This is the maximum satisfaction: you have become great and I hope you can always make a constructive and operational contribution to the evolutions we need in the National Health Service, to make it always resilient compared to the many transformations we have.” The cut of the ribbon was accompanied by the blessing of the premises, given by Don Massimo Angelelli, Director of the National Office for the Pastoral Care of Health of the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI), who recalled how this venue is the home of those who chose to take care of the other, recalling the vocation of health professionals to be, in their daily work, authentic builders of peace. The new headquarters is an open place for cultural initiatives, moments of meeting and sharing with citizenship. In this perspective the collaboration with the Roman artistic panorama is also included, with the aim of hosting events and exhibitions in the spaces of the Fno Tsrm and Pstrp, strengthening the link between the health professions and the world of culture. The building, returned to the community thanks to careful restoration work, is reborn enhancing decorations, shades and environments hidden for many years. The history of Palazzo Balestra began in the 14th century as the home of the Muti Papazzurri family, but over the years it became the home of Jacques Francis Stuart, the Catholic king of England in exile. To cure the restoration Susanna Sarmati, restorer and curator of cultural heritage. “The apartment has been abandoned for years, there had been water infiltration that compromised the state, the wooden ceiling was hidden by further wooden cover. However, the restoration has brought to light the decorations of the ceilings, with refined original pastel tones, allowing you to read correctly the figures and ornaments that make this historic building unique” concluded the restorer. The new headquarters of the National Federation, therefore, stands as a bridge between the care of the person and the care of the heritage, between well-being and beauty. A ceremonynaugural, wanted on the day of the Christmases of Rome, a day that was together celebration, vision and declaration of intent: to inhabit history to build the future of health. -photo press office Fno Tsrm and Pstrp- (ITALPRESS).
