Code of Ethics of Confcommercio, approved the update from the Ministry of Justice

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Ministry of Justice has approved the new version, updated with the latest legislative news, of the Code of Ethics of Confcommercio. The Code – already approved by the Ministry in the years 2003, 2009, 2016 and 2022 – has been reviewed with particular attention to recent judgments of legitimacy and on the basis of legislative interventions.

Among the new offences for which the administrative responsibility of the bodies is envisaged are: crimes against cultural heritage, computer crimes, crime of fraud in public supply and crime of fraud in agriculture, criminal offences, further tax offenses and so-called smuggling crimes, crime of indebted destination of money or mobile things, crimes against animals, further corporate crimes with particular reference to cross-border merger, transformation and split operations. The review also involved the inclusion of the new Sections dedicated to “Business and Insolvency”, “The Model 231 and the associative risks and mafia infiltration”, and “ESG factors, non-financial statements and the legal rating”; and the complete modification of the whistleblowing discipline.

With this document, the Confederation intends to offer the associated companies a support tool – considered by the Ministry of Justice “Iidoneo” to prevent the commission of crimes – for the preparation of its own models of organization and management under Legislative Decree 231/2001.
