MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Eniverse, Corporate Venture Builder of Eni, announces the establishment of Sentris, a new company created by the partnership with DG Industrial Systems – a company specializing in Engineering, Project Management and Procurement services – with the aim of enhancing e-splora proprietary technology (Eni Systems for Pipeline Low Risk Assessment). The technology, developed in Eni research centers, allows to carry out in-line inspection activities (In-Line Inspection) of fluid transport pipelines, improving operational efficiency and increasing infrastructure integrity. E-splora is a suite of technologies designed to analyze in detail the operating conditions of pipelines and identify the possible presence of deposits, deformations or corrosion, reducing the risks associated with traditional cleaning activities. In particular, thanks to the use of miniaturized sensors installed on standard inspection devices (Pig), data is acquired on the internal conditions of the pipeline, allowing to detect any internal deposits or structural variations, reducing operating time and costs and improving maintenance planning. The operation is part of Eniverse’s activities aimed at transforming the company’s heritage of technologies and distinctive competences into new business opportunities, in application of the Dual Innovation Model, a structural element of the Eni innovation strategy that provides for the involvement of external partners from the first design phases to optimize the results.
With this new company, Eniverse values Eni’s technological and patent heritage, integrating it with the experience of DG Industrial Systems in hardware and software development, in the management of innovative projects and in operational and commercial activities. Thanks to this collaboration, Sentris is positioned on national and international markets, offering innovative solutions for the management and preservation of the integrity of energy infrastructure, promoting its adoption not only by its business lines, but also by third-party companies. Sentris’ share capital is held at 52.5% by DG Industrial Systems and 47.5% by Eniverse.
