Simest, Tajani at the opening ceremony of the new antenna in Riyad

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – SIMEST, the company of the CDP Group for the internationalization of Italian companies, announces that today the opening ceremony of the new antenna in Riyad was held. The event, which was held in the presence of the Vice-President of the Council and Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, of the President of SIMEST, Vittorio de Pedys, and of the CEO, Regina Corradini D’Arienzo – took place in the framework of the Italian-Arabia Saudi Entrepreneurship Forum, which brings together institutions and enterprises of the two Countries to strengthen industrial and commercial partnerships.

The opening of the SIMEST in Riyad aims to further consolidate the operational support of Italian companies engaged in international expansion paths, offering direct assistance both in the entry stage and in the consolidation in a market among the most dynamic in the world. The Middle East is a strategic area for the international growth of Italy, thanks to strong economic relations and an increasing interest of local partners in Italian technologies and know-how.

Saudi Arabia, in particular, is today one of the most solid and fastest growing economies of the region. There are many Italian companies active in the country and exporting to this area with consolidated presence in key areas such as infrastructure, automotive, sustainable transport, building, pharmaceutical-medical, high technology, agritech, culture and sport.

“The opening of the Riyad antenna is a decisive step in strengthening our presence alongside Italian companies, with particular attention to SMEs, in a market that is growing rapidly in many industrial sectors, including some in which the Italian supply chain is facing difficulties, such as the fashion sector – said SIMEST CEO, Regina Corradini D’Arienzo -. This new Presidium will allow us to work in close collaboration with local institutions and partners, facilitating the realization of investments in areas where Made in Italy can offer a distinctive and valuable contribution. The opening is part of the close synergy with the Farnesina and of the collaboration with the partners of the Italian System, starting from Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, of which we are part, and together with SACE, ICE, the Chamber of Commerce and Confindustria, in full integration with the Embassy. The aim is to accompany companies not only with dedicated financial instruments, but also by providing expertise on the market and direct support, to better grasp the opportunities offered by the Saudi economy, both in terms of export and direct investment”.
