Ex Ilva, Urso: “A difficult challenge on which he weighs a heavy legacy”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The Italian steel industry guides the green transition and is avant-garde in Europe with 34 plants that produce with electric ovens, now we are engaged in the most difficult challenge, which concerns the former Ilva, on which the heavy legacy of Mittal, certified in over 4 billion damages.” This was said by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, during the question time at the Chamber. “If we succeed also in this goal, Italy will become the first European country to produce only green steel,” he added.

“As recognized in these days, practically by everyone or almost, even by those who in recent months swell the instrument, the transitional plan 5.0 is now considered a popular measure very appreciated by enterprises, of which not to be able to do without it – Urso continued – the same ones who opposed it, today claim it, defining it even as the most important industrial plan of the Pnrr. The figures show it: there are over 15,000 companies that have booked the tax credits of the transitional plans 4.0 and transition 5.0, for a value exceeding 5.5 billion benefits. We are committed to meeting the needs of all companies,” he concluded.
