Also the edition of Miami 2025, always and only organized by Fondazione ITALY in collaboration with other international realities such as FERRARA events & communication and UNITED International Media Partners and local realities like Casa Italia Miami, was honored by the Patronage of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and the Liguria Region, similar to those of Genoa and New York. Fondazione ITALY has promoted in recent years activities aimed both at the protection of the image of Italy and to that of culture proudly promoted all over the world, striving the eye to topics that also need awareness such as the environment and health, also in collaboration with SFP – Social Future Project Italy.
The guiding light has always been the Italianity and the positive characteristics that have allowed Italy to affirm itself in the world filling us with pride.
A prominent figure is certainly Cristoforo Colombo and now since 9 editions the COLUMBUS, thanks to the tireless work of Fondazione ITALY, the only organizer of the international cultural event, celebrates in its name the excellent Italian figures who contributed, each within their own scope and within their range of action, local or international, to strengthen the reputation of Italy.
We Italians are filled not only with works of art, culture, food and wine, history and unique environmental scenarios in the world but we are also imbued with respect for our traditions and roots, never forgetting sacrifices, sometimes paid with life, our compatriots who for Italy and in the name of Italy spent their lives.
In this regard also in the Miami edition, the ninth in temporal order and the second in land of Florida, the creator and organizer of the event and president of Fondazione ITALY Dr. Massimiliano Ferrara, thanked, as from his custom, all the Forces of order and all the men who are part of it and who daily take really care of us, without proclaims but in silence and with dedication, both the sea and the sea.
In these years the COLUMBUS INTERNATIONAL AWARD of Fondazione ITALY has enjoyed the patronage of the European Commission, Ministry of Enterprises and of Made in Italy, Marina Militare, Lazio Region, Liguria Region, Metropolitan City of Rome, Metropolitan City of Genoa, Municipality of Rome, Municipality of Genoa and Istituto Marangoni Miami.
Another success is that of Miami that further consecrates the internationality of the prestigious itinerant award, after also the important editions like that of Rome at the Senate of the Republic, of New York at Saint Patrick’s Old Cathedral School, the Brazilian one at the Rio Olympic Golf Course in Rio de Janeiro and that of Genoa at the Exhibition of Representation of Palazzo Tursi, of 1500 and UNESCO heritage, with Ospite d’Onore in its first public exit.
After the initial theme of the COLUMBUS, two applauded artists have intoxicated the hymn of the United States and the hymn of Italy, Stefano May and Maestro Tenore Aldo Iacopino respectively.
To frame a beautiful backdrop of over 2.5 meters decorated by the Italian and American flag.
The opening was entrusted to Marilena Alescio who, after initial greetings, introduced Dr. Massimiliano Ferrara, founder and organizer of the COLUMBUS INTERNATIONAL AWARD and President of Fondazione ITALY, who immediately expressed gratitude to the Istituto Marangoni Miami for hospitality, listed the Patrocinators, greeted the Partners and thanked the Support Partners. A specific thanks to the Maestro Agostino Branca di Bottega Branca-Creazioni in Ceramica that has realized with wise art the beautiful Piatti Premio in ceramica. Finally, President Ferrara greeted the Honorary President of Fondazione ITALY Gianni Letta.
Various musical intermezzos that have animated the evening with great satisfaction of the organizer Ferrara and very appreciated by the numerous audience shortened to the event that has completely filled the wide room of the ground floor of the Istituto Marangoni Miami: from the very good Mattia Colore, that has announced the honor to open the concert of Nek to Fort Lauderdale (Florida) next 23 November, to the overwhelming Stefano Mey who has enchanted.
The conductors Alescio and Ferrara therefore gave space to the various rewards, with a central pause that Fondazione ITALY, organizer of the international cultural event itinerant, wanted to reserve and donate, as last year, to the Casa Italia Award, an award organized by Casa Italia Miami and reserved for some Italian profiles of the airfield of Miami.

Tailor Home Design (per la sezione Excellence, riservata a aziende, istituzioni e associazioni). Ha ritirato il premio Ivan Miragliotta, con ospite premiante Enzo Esposito di 450° Restaurant in Miami. Motivazione: Eccellente azienda che si è affermata nel panorama dell’offerta dei servizi di interior design di lusso e della gestione immobiliare, con caratteristiche legate alla cultura del gusto tutto italiano.
Prof. Vittorio Porciatti (per la sezione Amazing, oftalmologo ricercatore di fama mondiale e professore alla University of Miami) con la seguente motivazione: Per essersi distinto a livello mondiale nel campo medico, raggiungendo eccellenti traguardi.Ospite premiante: Mario Braghieri, Fashion Din dell’Istituto Marangoni Miami.
Pininfarina, ancora sezione Excellence. Ha ritirato il premio il General Manager di Pininfarina of America Claudio Da Soller, insieme a Paolo Trevisan, VP Design, e Samuele Sordi, Chief Architect Officer. Premiante Massimiliano Ferrara. Motivazione: Un grande marchio, una garanzia nel mondo del design, un’azienda che è divenuta sinonimo di eccellenza italiana e che ci rende orgogliosi nel mondo.
Augusto Cavallini, per la sezione Community Service, con ospite premiante Paolo Mangia. Motivazione: Per i molti anni di profuso impegno a favore della comunità italiana di Miami, contribuendo così fattivamente a solidificare rapporti di convivenza e di esaltazione dell’italianità.
Chef Marco Casula, ancora sezione Amazing, con la seguente motivazione: Per aver esaltato l’eccellente cucina e pasticceria italiana specializzandosi in particolare in uno dei dolci italiani più amati al mondo, il Tiramisù. Ospiti Premianti: Giovanni Gagliardi e Loredana Passariello di La Leggenda.
Italia Report USA per la sezione Media Operator. Premio ritirato da Enza Michenzi e Massimo Cicaiello. Premiante lo stesso Ferrara con la seguente motivazione: Ha contribuito, scrivendo dei rapporti tra l’Italia e l’America, a far apprezzare sempre più il Bel Paese, esaltando e raccontando al meglio le nostre eccellenze e bellezze.

At the end, after the photos of rite with all the rewarded, guests reached the beautiful terrace of the Istituto Marangoni Miami for a delicious cocktail with show cooking offered and prepared by 450 degrees Restaurant, excellent reality of Italian catering in Miami. Everything was watered by the prosecco and wines made available by Love to Italy – Italian Food & Wine. Musical entertainment by DJ Fabyo.
