Elissa Ann Golberg is the Ambassador of the Year 2025. The prestigious award, paid as usual by the journal Gazzetta Diplomatica, was awarded to the Ambassador of Canada during a ceremony held last Monday at the Chamber of Deputies, in the Chamber of Parliamentary Groups, in the presence of about 200 guests between authorities, diplomats and institutional representatives.
To select the winners of the Prize was a jury of experts, formed by MPs, professionals and diplomats, chaired by Ambassador Stefano Benazzo. The initiative, promoted by Marco Finelli’s direct testament, celebrates diplomatic and consular excellence every year, dialogue between peoples and commitment to international cooperation.
Among the MPs, Chairman Roberto Traversi, together with the MPs Fabio Porta della Commissione Affari Esteri di Monteciorio and Christian Di Sanzo, elected in the North and Central America District, and Senators Andrea De Priamo of the Commission for Constitutional Affairs and Luigi Nave, President of the Italian-Canada Parliamentary Group.
The Premio Gazzetta Diplomatica alla Carriera has been awarded with particular emphasis to entrepreneur Anna Fendi, icon of Made in Italy and cultural ambassador in the world.

As Honorary Consul of the Year 2025 Federico Cosenz (Luxembourg, Palermo), Fortunato Giovanni Peron (Croatia, Bologna) and Valentina Mazza (Kazakhstan, Naples).
The Special Prizes were awarded to Luiza Pufu (Embassy of Romania), Camillo della Nebbia (Italian Army) and Federico Quadrelli (Comites Berlin).
