ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “I met the President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, in Rome. We had an excellent and very thorough interview on all aspects of the diplomatic situation. We appreciate the active role of Italy in creating concrete ideas and defining measures to bring peace closer”. He wrote it on X the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, at the end of the meeting with Meloni at Palazzo Chigi.
“I have informed you about the work of our negotiating team and we are coordinating our diplomatic efforts. We count on Italy’s continued support: it is important for Ukraine,” he added. “I also wish to express my gratitude for the energy support package and for the necessary equipment: This is exactly what will support Ukrainian families, our people, children and daily life in our cities and communities, which continue to suffer continuous Russian attacks. We need to protect lives. Thank you, Italy!”, he concluded.
