US Tensions-Venezuela, Pope Leo XIV “We must seek dialogue”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “A country has the right to have the military to defend peace and build peace. In this case it seems a little different. Tensions increase, but with violence we do not win. We must seek dialogue, it is the right way to solve problems.” Thus Pope Leo XIV, speaking with journalists while leaving Castel Gandolfo, answers a question about tensions between the United States and Venezuela.

On the situation in the Middle East the Pontiff expressed himself as follows: “Thank God the first phase of the peace agreement still goes on, but it is very fragile. We have to try to move to the second stage. The situation of the colonies in the West Bank is complex, we must try to work together for justice for all peoples.”.
