The House approves the delegation to the Government on youth policies, Abodi: “Let’s start a historic step”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The House of the House approved the delegation to the Government with the provisions on youth policies and universal civil service. The vote was 139, the abstained 114.

The House of Deputies approved the bill containing provisions on young people and universal civil service and delegates to the Government for the reorganization of the matter promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, which for the first time, in the 80 years of the history of our Republic, contains a national policy framework for young generations, as well as a comprehensive review of the subject.

“With the approval at first reading of this law we make a historical step because for the first time Italy is endowed with an organic framework for youth policies and the Universal Civil Service. It is the result of a fruitful work that lasted three years, based on listening, dialogue and collaboration with Parliament, but also with the Conference of autonomous regions and provinces, which never in the past had met with the Government systematically to address these issues, as well as with local authorities and representations of the youth world”, says the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi.

“We want to build policies that do not speak to young people as “future”, but which respond to their needs in the present, strengthening tools such as the universal civil service, the National Youth Charter and the permanent National Observatory, a fundamental interdisciplinary and coordination tool, to offer them and to promote to the best concrete, measurable and capable of generating trust and hope – he continues. I thank, therefore, the Minister for Institutional Reforms and the simplification of legislation Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, the President of the Fontana Chamber, the President of the 12th Chamber Commission, Mrs. Cappellacci, the Members of the 12th Commission, the rapporteur at the Chamber, Mr Ciocchetti, the offices of the Commissions and the Relations with Parliament, and all the Members of the majority and opposition who contributed to the debate and approval of this bill.”.
