We do not go anywhere alone: we need the United States, but the United States also need us as Europe and as Italy. I have canceled the mission in the United States to give a political signal, but we will continue to work on all transatlantic dossiers: I don’t think Trump has talked about tightening up duties, because our products have continued to be among the most sold on American soil. Breaking with Italy does not suit anyone, but I think the United States does not want to do so: we do our duty and continue to work with them as allies.”.
