PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, came to surprise at the Theological Faculty of Sicily “San Giovanni Evangelista”, in Palermo, to participate in the conference “The commitment of Catholics in politics between crisis of parties and cultural pluralism”, dedicated to brother Piersanti Mattarella. The Head of State, accompanied by his daughter Laura, was welcomed by Archbishop Corrado Lorefice of Palermo, Grand Chancellor of the Faculty. The meeting is part of a two-day initiative on the theme: “The social Magisterium of witnesses: the innovative contribution of Piersanti Mattarella”.
