ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The agreement on the National Plan of Prevention (PNP) 2026-2031, a Plan awaited by the Regions that defines the strategic lines of health prevention policies for the coming years, with the aim of making health protection more effective, accessible and homogeneous throughout the country.
For the implementation of the Plan are destined to the Regions and autonomous provinces 200 million a year, to which are added 50 million for the 2026 dedicated to the activities of territorial prevention. The Plan strengthens integration between prevention, assistance and regional planning, promoting a system closer to the needs of citizens and oriented to ensure greater equity in access to health services.
It also promotes the One Health approach, which considers human health, environment and social and productive determinants jointly, strengthening a broader and more preventive vision of health protection.
Among the main innovations, the introduction of a national digital platform for the planning, monitoring and evaluation of regional prevention plans, designed to ensure transparency, uniformity and greater coordination capacity. I
the Plan is part of the Pnrr public health innovation path, also through the National Health Prevention Hub. The Ministry of Health will coordinate the path of implementation and monitoring of the Plan, ensuring the operational agreement with autonomous Regions and Provinces for the achievement of the prevention objectives provided until 2031.
