PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – Superheroes, gifts and smiles: in summary, the Christmas initiative of Seus 118 towards the small patients of the Brain Hospital. A couple of hours with the goal of witnessing closeness and solidarity in the Pediatric department and pediatric emergency. Here, therefore, an operator of the 118 disguised as Santa Claus and two volunteers of the Association “Angelica la forza del grin” disguised as Spider Man and Superman. And again, the donation to the children of hats, warm neck, color pencils, color drawings, balloon sculptures and bags of the 118 Sicilian. “We are happy to have given moments of carefreeness and joy to small patients and their families – said the President of Seus 118, Riccardo Castro –. On the occasion of the Christmas holidays and not only organize solidarity events in Sicilian hospitals thanks to the synergy with voluntary associations that I thank from the bottom of the heart. A big hug also to the “my boys” of Seus 118 who actively participate in these significant initiatives”.
To do the “honours of the house” together with the director of Pediatry, Nicola Cassata, were the health director Maria Lucia Furnari and the administrative director Luigi Guadagnino who brought greetings from the general manager of Villa Sofia-Cervello, Alessandro Mazzara. “I wish to express, on behalf of my staff and the whole Hospitaller Company, a sincere thanks to those who have made possible this initiative of solidarity – says the health director – as these represent much more than a simple gift: they are a concrete sign of closeness, attention and humanity towards our small patients and their families, who face delicate and often difficult moments. The collaboration between the health world, the territory and the associations shows once again how solidarity can contribute to the well-being of children.
