ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Poste Italiane has launched the largest national project of corporate cardioprotection, “Security stands at Heart”. Through the installation of 800 defibrillators in 242 locations across the country, the Group led by Ad Matteo Del Fante and Dg Giuseppe Lasco has launched the most extensive cardiac first aid plan ever implemented in the private sector.
Devices can automatically analyze the heart rate and accompany the rescuer in the different stages of the intervention through voice indications, making it easier to perform procedures even for those who do not have specific medical skills.
The investment, which is part of the protection and prevention strategy adopted by Poste Italiane to protect its employees, involved the positioning of semiautomatic machines with remote control that, in case of emergency, significantly reduce the risks associated with a cardiac arrest. Particularly significant is the territorial impact: the defibrillators installed, in fact, will be registered at the Operating Units of 118, thus enhancing the regional network of life-saving devices.
The availability of a defibrillator in the immediate vicinity can be decisive in case of cardiac arrest, when the rapidity of rescues is one of the fundamental elements to increase the chances of survival.
The installation of defibrillators is accompanied by a training plan that involves about 9,500 employees who are part of the Group’s emergency teams, and information sessions for about 35 thousand resources. “Numbers important that acknowledge the sensitivity of the Poste Italian group in wanting to focus the health of their people,” we read in a note.
