For Schlein, therefore “the novelty is us, it is a competitive and united progressive alliance that will beat them in the next elections. They changed the electoral law because they are afraid to lose. But I give you news: we will also win with this. Take note of your failure, stop floating before you go to vote better is for Italy”.
On program and premiership, Schlein reiterates the need to compile the shared program first. “If there are primaries, the party will certainly not back. Now a mile is missing, we are also ready to sit immediately with other progressive forces to complete a common program.”.
“Even this week we wrote a resolution with 21 shared economic and social policy points. But we must be all, not alone, serves all the progressive alliance that governs in the regions. ASSEMBLEA PROROGA MANDATO SCHLEIN, L’ELEZIONE DEL SEGRETARIO DOPO LE POLITICHE
With 602 votes in favour, a prisoner and a vote against the PD National Assembly amended Article 8 of the Party Statute by extending the mandate of the Secretariat, Elly Schlein, due in March. The assembly unanimously approved the amendment of the statute according to which the congress falls in the year of political elections. It was also approved that the congress and therefore the election of the new secretary will take place after the political elections. The assembly also voted and approved an order of the day in which it is said that, in case of primaries for the identification of the premier candidate of the centre-left, the Pd appoints the secretary as its candidate.
