Salis “Federatrice del Campo Largo? There are no conditions”

GENOVA (ITALPRESS) – “I do not find that there are conditions” to accept the proposal of candidacy as “federer” of the wide field. Silvia Salis, mayor of Genoa, interviewed by Fabio Fazio at “Che tempo che fa”, on the Nine, presenting his book “It is already tomorrow”.
“This debate that has been going on for months, I would say almost for a year, shows that we have lost a bit of view the center of the discussion, which is the program to present to the country – Salis explained -, but above all we have rolled up on a discussion that already months ago seemed redundant, that is to do an internal race regarding the instances that asks us a progressive field that is enormous: it is not only of our electors, it is also not elected of so many people.
“As mayor you can campaign for the parties that support you and policies – Salis said. We also represent our national political bodies on the territory, so I think we can help. I think the mayors have that practical aspect of proximity to problems, that people identify as an aspect that gives security and trust. So we are certainly important cards in the election campaign of the centre-left”.

“I think he wins everywhere. You win at the center, as you win on the left, you win with a united field,” said Salis, commenting on Elly Schlein’s statements that “you don’t win at the center”. The broad agreements “are not necessary, just arithmeticly count”, added the mayor of Genoa, who then specified: “We are confusing moderately with progressive, which is not the same. When they want to give me a moderate t-shirt, I can also be on some issues, but I feel progressive, because I am not afraid to support deeply left-wing themes, but at the same time I do not even have any fear to argue that economic development is important, that industrial development should be protected.” “It is important to find a progressive leader who is not afraid to say and do things on the left, but who knows how to dialogue with all the worlds of the country,” he concluded.
