ROMA (ITALPRESS) – To contribute to a constructive dialogue between public and private sectors in order to develop strategies to promote security and defend freedom. This is the objective of Nazione Sicura 2026, the think tank organized by Remind to face in a transversal way the different dimensions of security in a system vision; initiative that brought together representatives of the institutions, entrepreneurs, managers and professionals in Rome, at the Palazzo dell’Inail, with the aim of strengthening the dialogue for the welfare and safety of citizens.
The initiative opened with the greetings of the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, who said: “It’s a great pleasure for me to participate in the new edition of Nazione Sicura by Remind, an important opportunity to compare the numerous dimensions of safety. We live a complex time marked by rapid and deep transformations, geopolitical changes, new hybrid threats, challenges related to technological innovation and digital security and for this reason the theme we face today assumes an absolute centrality for the present and future of Italy. Security is increasingly affirmed as the right of citizens, called to stand as a guarantee of democratic principles and constitutional freedoms. There is no true security without freedom and there is no genuine freedom without security. Innovation represents an extraordinary opportunity, but also a new frontier of risk; if well guided, it can make security smarter, faster and closer to citizens. The involvement of the private sector, the academic world and civil society is fundamental. Enterprises in particular are now protagonists in strategic infrastructure management and data protection. Public-private dialogue therefore becomes an essential tool for building resilient and sustainable security models. I am sure that during the Safe Country by Remind will emerge ideas, proposals and solutions useful to strengthen the security of our country, in full respect of the values of freedom that constitute the essence of our democracy”.
Following was the Knight of the Grand Cross Paolo Crisafi, President of Remind, who said: “Security today is an indispensable condition for ensuring freedom, social cohesion, economic development and protection of people. Alongside traditional security, new strategic challenges emerge that require an integrated and shared approach: from cybersecurity to health security, from the protection of critical infrastructure to energy security and work. “Security of Italy and Europe is the ability to remain open and act together. The possibility of not being blackmailed, of not being overly dependent from abroad because when you depend you have to realize to someone else who is not the voters, says Renato Loiero, adviser of the President of the Council. “In the economic context of recent decades this has become much more complex. We were accustomed to reasoning in strategic economic analyses with democracies, with a single coordination center that was the G7; today it is no longer so and in this context we must compare with the climate, energy, technological, demographic challenge. The geopolitical context is extremely fragmented. Action priorities become rapid and coherent decision-making mechanisms with respect to these difficulties, a more integrated financial system, attract foreign capital, strengthen the euro’s role and enter into new trade agreements,” he added.
