CORTINA (ITALPRESS) – “The call of Mattarella? We share it, we are all not only propensity but eager to lower the tones of these controversies that do not benefit anyone. The important thing is to report the content of the referendum on the text of the reform, which is not subversive, nor eversive, nor anti-institutional, neither revanscist nor piduist”. These are the words of the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, today visiting Casa Italia in Cortina.
The referendum, admits, “in recent times it has been politicized, the tones have risen and now rightly President Mattarella has urged all of us – starting with the undersigned – to hold an argument that is fearful and rational, in line with the question. This is my hope, and personally I will already use an extremely moderate, technical language that adheres to the content of the reform. I hope that the others will do the same, I hope that it will not become a ‘Meloni yes Meloni no’, as happened for Renzi also because even a possible defeat, which we believe impossible, would have no effect on the government. As well as the victory, which we believe practically certain, will not have punitive effect, as we fear, towards the judiciary. On the contrary, the day after the victory we will open a table of comparison for the implementing norms in order to be able to have a dialogue with the judiciary and the academic world and the approach to implement the reform”, concluded Nordio.
