BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – Prevention, lifestyles and sustainability: are the three pillars of the Driving Change Arena, the appointment dedicated to health organized by Novo Nordisk in the 42nd ANCI Annual Assembly, which took place today in Bologna. This moment of dynamic and participatory dialogue brought together representatives of institutions, mayors, local administrators and experts to share experiences and good practices on the promotion of health and well-being in urban communities, and to deepen the concrete contribution of cities in the construction of effective prevention models, in the dissemination of healthy lifestyles and in the valorization of environmental and social sustainability. The comparison was articulated around the three distinctive pillars of the Novo Nordisk Cities for Better Health international program (made in Italy thanks to the partnership with ANCI and Health City Institute): prevention, lifestyles and sustainability – and highlighted the joint commitment of directors, institutions and third sector in promoting virtuous initiatives already active in different countries.
Today’s meeting in Bologna highlighted the importance of a shared vision of health, based on prevention and collaboration between public and private individuals to improve the quality of citizens’ lives. With the participation in the ANCI 2025 Assembly, Novo Nordisk confirms its commitment to support a model of urban development attentive to health and sustainability, continuing a path of collaboration with local administrations to build healthier, inclusive and resilient cities. “The challenge of chronic diseases requires shared solutions and an integrated approach to health, in a broad vision in which prevention and innovation take a central role. In the face of this new perspective the whole system, all of us, we are called to respond with adequate solutions that recognize the new scenario and equip themselves best to manage it effectively for the benefit of patients and communities and that promote the best conditions for the strategicity of our country. This is why we are convinced that a synergistic and multisectoral approach, which is based on the collaboration and dialogue of all involved actors, local administrators, health authorities, institutions and individuals are fundamental to concretely carry out a concrete and valuable path for the benefit of patients and communities. And it is in this sense that I can only conclude by reaffirming the commitment of Novo Nordisk to work alongside Anci and the Mayors to continue to valorize the territories and promote health and prevention” said Alfredo Galletti, General Manager of Novo Nordisk Italia.
