Pope Leo “Near to those who are in pain in Crans Montana”. On Venezuela: “Assurance the rule of law”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “I wish to express my closeness again to those who are in pain because of the tragedy in Cras Montana in Switzerland. I assure you of the prayer for the departed young people, for the wounded and for their families.” Pope Leo XIV said this on the occasion of the Sunday Angelus in St. Peter’s Square.

“I follow developments in the situation in Venezuela. The good of the beloved Venezuelan people must prevail over all other considerations and induce to overcome violence and to undertake paths of justice and peace, guaranteeing the sovereignty of the country, ensuring the rule of law inscribed in the constitution, respecting the human and civil rights of each and all and working to build together a serene future of collaboration, stability and harmony”, the Pontiff added. “With special attention to the poorest who suffer because of the difficult economic situation. For this reason, I invite you to pray by entrusting our prayer to the intercession of Our Lady of Coromoto and Saints Josè Gregorio Hernandez and Sister Carmen Rendiles” he concluded.
