ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The bill has been definitively approved in the Senate with provisions on young people and Universal Civil Service and delegates to the Government for the reorganization of matter, promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi.
“With the final approval of the Parliament of the bill of youth policy and universal civil service – says the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi – we make an important step towards an organic normative framework, able to ensure continuity, consistency and greater effectiveness to the interventions aimed at the new generations. It is the result of an intense work, lasted four years, built through listening, dialogue and institutional collaboration. A path in which we have involved the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, local authorities and representations of the youth world, in the belief that effective policies can arise only from a constant confrontation and the sharing of objectives where interdisciplinaryity, characteristic of this Government, together with transversality, are the common denominator of our actions. Young people are the present of our nation: their aspirations, their skills and their energies must find adequate listening and answers. With this measure we strengthen the foundations to accompany girls and boys in the paths of growth, autonomy and participation, recognizing their active role in the community”.
“The Universal Civil Service – continues – for which the Government has invested 1,7mld euros over the past four years with an additional 124% allocation since 2020 and over 270 thousand positions for young volunteer operators in Italy and abroad, the National Youth Charter, which counts to today 4 million active holders, and the permanent Observatory for youth policies are part of this vision: offering opportunities for commitment and growth, making knowledge more accessible Parliamentary approval now opens the stage of the implementation of the delegation. Our responsibility is to translate the guiding criteria into effective provisions and interventions, with measurable results, so that each young person can express his talent and build his own life project, without his chances being determined by the birthplace or the starting condition. I thank the Minister for Institutional Reforms and the simplification of legislation, Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russo, the President of the Chamber, Lorenzo Fontana, the President of the 10th Commission of the Senate, Senator Francesco Zaffini, the President of the 12th Commission of the Chamber, Mrs Ugo Cappellacci, the Senator and Senator Luciano Leonardi. I also thank the offices of the Commissions and the Offices for Relations with Parliament, together with all parliamentarians of majority and opposition who contributed to the debate and approval of the bill. We must now give answers to the height of trust that we ask them to put in the institutions.”.
