ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The approval of the amendment that introduces for the first time the ‘good school’ in the national education system is the result of a dialogue and close collaboration between the majority forces and the government, constituting the crowning of a battle of freedom carried out by all the center-right parties for 30 years to this part. It is an important step to allow non-aware families to exercise the right of educational choice. At the same time, as explained inequivocally by the Offices Studies of Chamber and Senate, we continue to increase the resources allocated to the Italian school: the authorized expenditure for the budget of the Ministry of Education and the Merit in fact increase for 2026 of approximately 960 million euros. The impact of school expenditure on the state budget will increase in 2026, from 6.2% to 6.3%. We are now waiting for the approval of another important amendment which provides €20 million additional for the purchase of textbooks always in favor of the poorer families.” The Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara said this in a note.
