MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Novartis announces the appointment of Federico Mambretti to Country President for Italy, with effect from 1 September. In the new role he will lead the Italian organization after a consolidated international experience and the most recent assignment of Country President for Belgium and Luxembourg.
Mambretti succeeds Valentino Confalone, who has successfully led Novartis Italia over the last four years, during which the company has consolidated its path of growth and innovation.
“To return to Italy means returning to my roots and to a health system that I know and respect deeply. I take this assignment at a crucial time for health innovation, with the commitment to making our treatments increasingly accessible to Italian patients in a fair and timely manner,” said Mambretti.
“My priority will be to strengthen collaboration with institutions, scientific communities and patient associations, so that the value of innovation can be increasingly translated into concrete benefits for patients and health system,” he concluded.
