“All’interno di questa fascia di 150 metri sono stati evacuati 1276 cittadini di Niscemi, pari a 500 nuclei familiari. Queste persone ovviamente, in maniera precauzionale, sono state allontanate. All’interno di queste persone ci saranno coloro i quali non potranno mai più tornare nelle proprie case” – ha proseguito Ciciliano – Si tratta di case che “non solo non potranno più essere ripopolate ma andranno distrutte, sempre che l’arretramento della frana non ci pensi da sola. Già adesso è necessario pensare a una re-localizzazione di questi cittadini e una delle cose più importanti è farlo in maniera partecipata perché la forzatura nell’identificazione di una zona non va bene perché è necessario che i cittadini partecipano in maniera attiva a questa nuova identità della città”, ha detto.
I cittadini che risiedono fuori dalla zona rossa dovrebbero lasciare le proprie case? “Assolutamente no. Il centro di Niscemi, anche se costruito sulla piana, è assolutamente in zona sicura. Quello che si sta facendo adesso è il ripristino della distribuzione del gas che per motivi di sicurezza era stata interrotta”, ha concluso.
