“Even today, however, we are committed to asking and obtaining further results to ensure the Italian and European agricultural system – continues -. Italy had helped to achieve among other things the adoption of a safeguard mechanism against disturbances that the opening of markets could create. The European authorities had set the entry threshold for this mechanism if prices fell by 8%. We have also officially asked at yesterday’s meeting, and we are aware that the threshold is down to 5% as well as the European Parliament has indicated.”.
