ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, has just arrived in Gedda, Saudi Arabia, for an institutional mission in the Gulf countries. This is the first visit to the region by a leader of Ue, G20 and Born from the beginning of the conflict, with meetings scheduled with leading representatives of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
The goal – as it learns – is to strengthen relations with these Nations and reaffirm Italy’s support for Iranian attacks while consolidating an increasingly solid strategic partnership. The mission also aims to strengthen national energy security: the Gulf is a crucial source of oil and gas for Italy and has a decisive role in the trend of global energy prices.
