ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Today the 229° anniversary of the birth of the Tricolor, symbol of our Homeland. The Tricolore waved with the push of revolutionary winds in the Cispadana Republic in 1797. After crossing the epoeia risorgimentale, it became in 1861 the Flag of the Kingdom of Italy. Chosen by the Constituents as a banner of the new state, today embodies the high values indicated by the Constitutional Charter: unity, freedom, democracy and social cohesion of the country”. The President of the Republic says so, Sergio Mattarella.
