ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, has conferred 28 Actors of honor of “Alfiere della Repubblica” to young people who, in 2025, have distinguished themselves for behavior inspired by civic sense, altruism and solidarity.
The theme chosen for the 2025 edition is “Speech and communicate solidarity”. Teenagers – read in the Quirinale Note – confirm the most surprising and spontaneous interpreters of this value. Despite a common place that describes them as distant from social commitment, reality tells young people capable of participation, empathy and desire to help.
For them solidarity is a coloured image, which is declined in many forms. Supporting a partner in difficulty, taking care of the environment, mobilizing during an emergency: they are gestures that demonstrate how, for teenagers, solidarity represents an authentic way of feeling part of a community.
It is a deep feeling of sharing, which expresses the will to contribute to the improvement of the conditions of those in a situation of difficulty or vulnerability. With this perspective we have tried to tell the commitment to others that children experience every day, enhancing their gestures and giving space to new forms of communication. It emerges a mosaic of young volunteers, brave boys, committed writers, teenagers who have transformed fragility or disability into strengths.
They are active protagonists of a society that aspires to be more inclusive, responsible and attentive to the common good, able to face with greater cohesion the challenges of the present and the future. Making this heritage of altruism and sensitivity visible means promoting the diffusion of a positive model of civil coexistence and encouraging others to follow its example, contributing to fostering ever more “contagious” solidarity.
In addition to individual awards, this year, four plates dedicated to inclusion were also awarded, with the aim of enhancing collective actions that represent a concrete example of cooperation, mutual respect and active participation.
The plates reward classes that have distinguished themselves in the creation of cozy and accessible contexts, in the promotion of initiatives against all forms of discrimination and in the commitment to the most fragile. These are experiences that show how inclusion is not only a value, but a daily practice capable of transforming the environments in which young people live and grow.
The collective actions rewarded not only enrich the theme of solidarity, but expand it, showing how it becomes even more effective when lived together, shared and supported by a united group.
