Constructive comparison continues within the majority in view of the launch of the Law of Budget 2027. The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, today had a contact with the Vice-Presidents of the Council, Antonio Tajani and Matteo Salvini, with the leader of Noi Moderati, Maurizio Lupi and with the Minister of Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti to make the point on the measure. In the course of the interview, the progress of work was examined with a view to the launch of the Council of Ministers. The aim of the majority is to approve the manoeuvre on Wednesday. It is what is learned from sources of majority. At the heart of the comparison, the measures for families and the average class, support for young people and the elderly, interventions on tax and support for enterprises, and the strengthening of the health system. Confirmed the desire to concentrate the resources available on the interventions considered priority, with the aim of supporting the purchasing power, strengthening growth and giving impetus to the economy, combining these priorities with the necessary attention to the holding of public accounts. In addition, during the summit, the point was on the interlocutions with the European Commission – which continue in a profitable way – on the use of the national safeguard clause (NEC), in particular for energy measures. The comparison aims to clarify the admissible interventions and the relative margins of flexibility, in view of the definition of the maneuver.
