ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Tunisia and Italy aim to update the Memorandum of Understanding on Health Cooperation and expand partnerships between the two countries. It emerged in Rome during a meeting between the Tunisian Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, and the Italian Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci.
The focus of the talks was the need to adapt the memorandum to developments in the health sector and to new medical innovations, opening further perspectives of collaboration between Tunisia and Italy.
The two ministers also discussed the strengthening of partnerships between hospital structures, the development of medical skills and cooperation in the areas of digital health and the “One Health” approach.
The talks also concerned the development of cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry and the production of medical devices and supplies.
