ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In light of the publication of the XXVIII Annual Report of the AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium, the data confirm the record employment rate of health professions, equal to 87.9%. Specifically, those belonging to the technical area, rehabilitation and prevention totaled 84.9%, 88.5% and 77.9% respectively employed one year after graduation, with some professions in the head and all profiles well placed in the ranking, with percentages between 70 and 90%.
States the President of the National Federation of Orders TSRM and PSTRP, Diego Catania: “The data speaks clear: the skills of the health professions I represent are fundamental to the keeping of the health system, as well as immediately spendable in the world of work. In the uncertain panorama of youth employment, investing in a path of studies of technical health, rehabilitation and prevention means ensuring a solid and safe working path, and laying the foundations for a constantly evolving professionalism.”.
Among the many parameters taken into account by the survey, the effectiveness of the degree path is evidenced, i.e. a subjective measure of coherence between the path of completed studies and the work done, with an average of about 90% for the professions related to the TSRM and PSTRP Orders.
“The measure of effectiveness estimated by the respondents is a map to the quality of our academic paths, which are consistent with the expectations of the working world thanks to the continuous dialogue with the orderly institution. The Order, in fact, actively participates in the definition of university requirements and educational standards, assesses the skills of graduates thanks to the graduate commissioners, appointed within the Albo Commissions, and plays an indispensable role of orientation and bridge between university realities and the world of work”.
It also appears in line with this parameter that of the “satisfaction for the work done”, with an average rating of 8 out of 10, which highlights the ability of health professions to create sense of gratification and belonging, and to ensure a stable role in society and the world of work. “We always talk about poor attractiveness of the professions, but for once we talk about those who choose to take these paths, unequivocally finding quality, alignment between skills acquired and professional expectations and timely employment. These are important levers, which I wish to see more and more young people consider in choosing the university path. Faced with a horizon characterized by rapid and large-scale changes, where artificial intelligence threatens to rewrite the perspectives and the very existence of numerous profiles, health professions “do not pass out of fashion”: their role evolves hand in hand with the new technologies, maintaining always relevant and current”.
In view of the admission test to the undergraduate courses of health professions, which will be held on Wednesday, September 16, President Catania launches a message to the new graduates still looking for their way: “Taking a degree in health professions is not (only) a vocation, but a real investment for the future.”.
