ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The proposal for a popular initiative law will be introduced by 2025 in the Senate to give public and free access to psychology. Over the past few hours, 50,000 signatures were reached to start the legislative process in Parliament. The bill provides for the establishment of a National Psychological Network with an expected investment of 3.3 billion euros. Among the objectives is to bring education to relations in all schools, workplaces and sport, strengthening of the Psychologist Bonus, implementation of the basic psychologist and reform of training.
“We have reached the minimum objective – says Francesco Maesano, national coordinator of the campaign – to have collected 50 thousand signatures means that we can bring in Parliament a bill to which he worked for three years a group of over 30 university professors. A text that comes from below, but not from nothing, which calls for an adequate investment on people’s mind to grow more and better and prevent violence. And now we must continue to sign because every single signature will add weight to this proposal. In the coming weeks we will be in almost one hundred squares, with over 1200 volunteers engaged in flying and collecting signatures in paper and digital format”
