ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The details are premature. But families and enterprises are the two pillars on which the law of budget will stand.” This was said by the Minister for European Affairs, the Cohesion Policies and the PNRR Tommaso Foti, intervening in “Ping Pong” on Rai Radio1, answering the question on which will be the priorities of the next manoeuvre, after the previous budgetary laws that have concentrated a significant part of the resources on support for lower incomes.
“We believe that the answers first should be given by a central government on the theme of families and businesses, which are indispensable to support the income of millions of workers.”.
With regard to the flexibility granted at European level for defence and energy expenditure, Foti stressed that “the budgetary deviation is expected, of course, with regard to the two chapters for which Europe has given way to flexibility. It was not a kind tribute, it was a specific request that we have made on the basis of an energy crisis that we saw proving, that the Meloni government had clearly would explode.”.
For the minister, “the whole issue of energy is still a theme on which Europe must make fundamental choices, because it cannot be enough the answer that needs to be consumed less energy”.
