ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Today at Palazzo Chigi a new meeting on theft of 80 fentanyl via the pharmacy of the Israeli Hospital in Rome was held. The meeting included, among others, the undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano, the Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, the Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci, the president of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Massimiliano Fedriga, the president of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca, the commander of the NAS of the Carabinieri, the director of the DCSA-direction central anti-drug services and the representatives of the DPA.
In order to strengthen the coordination between the institutions involved and before mentioned, it has decided to start in the immediateness a technical table, to which will be invited also the scientific societies, including the Italian Society of pharmacology (Sif) and the Italian Society of Anestesiology.
The table has the task of assessing the need for additional rules for the traceability of drugs that determine drug effects, and in any case to reorder primary and secondary legislation on the conservation obligations of the drugs themselves. An increase in police control was agreed, first of all Nas, on the entire supply chain of such drugs.
