ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies, Roberto Calderoli, following the negotiations on the implementation of the differentiated autonomy of the Regions under ordinary statute, has signed in recent days four preliminary agreements (pre-intese) with the Regions Veneto, Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria. Preliminary agreements – read in a note of the ministry – are aimed at guiding the completion of negotiations in the groove outlined by the law of implementation, in compliance with the provisions of the Constitutional Court with judgment no. 192 of 2024. The four Regions, after the entry into force of the Act of implementation, had transmitted their own initiatives, aimed at resuming the procedure already initiated in 2017 for the allocation of special forms and conditions of autonomy. On the basis of detailed negotiations with the competent State and regional authorities and coordinated by the Minister for Regional Affairs and the Autonomous, the four preliminary agreements were drawn up.
Each preliminary agreement was signed by the Minister Calderoli and their respective presidents of the Region. Calderoli had previously been authorized to conclude the agreements, with delegation to this end, by the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, who expressed satisfaction for the implementation of the government programme and shares the path undertaken to complete the negotiations. Each preliminary agreement commits the Government and the respective Region to conclude the negotiations already initiated for the purposes of the agreement, with regard to functions concerning “civil protection”, “professions”, “complementary and supplementary principles” and “health protection – coordination of public finance”. The specific content of each subject is indicated in the annex to each agreement.”.
