MILAN (ITALPRESS) – “Renewables are respecting the program I had given at the beginning of 2023: the step we are holding, last year for the first time half of our electricity came from renewables”. To say this is the minister of the Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin during the forum Futuro north direction, held at the Auditorium Squinzi Assolombarda in Milan.
“Germany is our partner and competitor, so we must work to maintain a balance with the German market – continues Pichetto Fratin, – we cannot compare ourselves instead to France and Spain, because they have energy at half price compared to us as they have nuclear and photovoltaic in large quantities. From us the path of nuclear power started with a deep study of the many experts we have kept in the country: we are the second manufacture of nuclear materials in Europe. On the decree for the nuclear end of May we will arrive at the House, at the end of July to the Senate and by the end of the year to the implementing decrees: or give to this country the conditions to compete at European and world level or we will not be able to transfer the wealth we have to our grandchildren; it is not the challenge of a single legislature, but of the whole country”.
