ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Prosecutor of the Republic of Rome has placed the citation in judgement against Maria Rosaria Boccia and journalist Carlo Tarallo, accused in contest of spreading fragments of a private conversation between former Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano and his wife Federica Corsini. According to the accusation hypothesis formulated by the prosecutors Giulia Guccione and Barbara Trotta, the two defendants would act with the same cryminous design spreading audio related to an interview in the private home of the couple. The disputed crime is that of illicit interference in private life.
From the investigations it emerged that Maria Rosaria Boccia would indebtedly obtain the registration by requiring Sangiuliano to keep open the telephone conversation with her while the then minister spoke with his wife. This would have occurred under the threat from the Boccia to go personally to the couple’s home. The audio fragments were subsequently published, starting from 26 August 2025, on social channels and on the website of the journal “Preview 24”.
The decree identifies as offended persons Gennaro Sangiuliano and Federica Corsini. The investigation took advantage of complaints from both sides and the results of the investigations conducted by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri in Rome. The trial will begin next 3 December 2026 at the Court of Rome.
The gup of Rome had already postponed to trial the entrepreneur Maria Rosaria Boccia, accused in another thread of the investigation, of aggravated stalking, injuries, illicit interference in private life against the former Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, fixing the trial next October 6. In the proceedings, Sangiuliano, his wife and former head of cabinet of the dicastery, Francesco Gilioli.
