Bombardieri “Change maneuver on fisco, pension and health”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Today’s day serves to make the government, politics and the country feel the need to change. Here are delegates and delegates from all over Italy to ask the government to change and insist on the things we have asked.” He said that at the Brancaccio Theatre, in Rome, on the occasion of the national event of the UIL, Secretary Pierpaolo Bombardieri, regarding the maneuver. “We are aware of the discussion that is also taking place within the majority on the management of resources, but we insist on the need to reach 40 thousand euros of detaxation of contractual increases and to widen the audience to two important contracts: commerce and metal mechanics,” he added.

“We have decided to relaunch our proposals for economic democracy in the role of contracts that have been questioned over recent years,” said Bombardieri. “We think that the detaxation of contractual increases gives an answer to 4 million poor workers but opens up a broader discussion of what is the role of bargaining in this country and let us say how to apply Article 39 of the Constitution.”.

The Secretary added: “Contracting has so many problems for so many dumping contracts, for non-existing employers’ associations and trade union organizations that do not exist. We think it’s time to discuss these issues. It is clear that together with these there are other problems that have not been resolved by the maneuver, which concern the IRS. In this country we continue to have the idea that who pays taxes is a scum and we cannot accept this. Health has still great problems, there are 6 million people who do not care for waiting lists or because they have economic problems and there is the problem of pensions.”.

“We continue to insist on having a female option in the original formulation and insist on having a guarantee pension for young people but today we would like to put to the government a theme: that of a discussion not made during the manoeuvre but during the year, why discuss in maneuver to save 50 or 100 million on the maneuver does not need. Today it is necessary to address a discussion on what will be the social state of tomorrow, as we recall the system of pensions and we would like to open a table of comparison to decide these things”, Pierpaolo Bombardieri pointed out, that instead regarding the position with CISL and CGIL explained: “We put ourselves as UIL. We have always argued that union pluralism is a wealth for democracy in our country. I don’t think that if trade union organizations split up there is someone who politicizes. I think that if three trade union organizations are divided they have visions and ways to address different themes. I always respect any position of other trade union organizations. Trade unionists make trade union policy based on their own objectives.”.

To the question about the detachment of the UIL, he clarified: “It didn’t come off. He has held a position consistent with what he has supported over the past few years. The government has introduced us for two years a manoeuvre and told us to take or leave. We left and made the general strike. On this occasion the government presented itself and told us to make proposals. We asked to intervene on the detaxation of contractual increases, because there is a broader reasoning to do on contracts.” Bombardieri then added: “I remember that over 18 billion two were intended to detax contractual increases and increase public employment resources. We take note of this result, take him home, discuss it and exalt it. Obviously we are ready to continue our battle.”.
