After losing Manchin’s seat in West Virginia, Ohio’s Brown Senator was not re-elected. It was a very important seat, which now brings the Republicans to the advantage of less unlikely twists of scene.
Right now the Republicans have 49 seats against the 41 of the Democrats. 10 more to be assigned.

I Democratici si dicono ottimisti
Recognising what Harris reported to his staff, the director of the Kamala Harris election campaign, Jen O’Malley Dillon, said that Harris exceeded expectations in the results of Philadelphia, the largest and most populous city in Pennsylvania, and is said to be optimistic about the results that begin to arrive from Michigan and Wisconsis, but that certainties will arrive only in the morning.
11:16 PM
C’è incertezza in Pennsylvania
As widely anticipated, it is the most important state among those in the balance, because it assigns well 19 great voters, the highest number among these seven.
At the moment he is ahead of Trump with 51% on 71% of the ballots. However, the Democrats are ahead in the most populous counties, which at the same time are still half the ballots. The hope for the Dem is to bridge the gap with the Republicans in these areas, which now has about 180 thousand votes.

Intanto, il referendum sull’aborto
In these hours, in addition to the votes for the presidential elections, the Americans are also called to respond to some referendarian questions.
One of these concerns abortion or the possibility of entering the right to abortion in the Constitution. For now it seems that everywhere is clearly in advantage yes, including states like Nebraska and Missouri, driving Republican, and where abortion is illegal in any case.
The only state where so far the referendum has been rejected is Florida. Here it served to exceed 60% of the votes favorable, but only 57% were collected. Also in Florida voted, and was rejected, the proposal for legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes.

I Repubblicani non si fidano di Milwaukee
After the error that led to the 30,000-card manual recounting, now the city in Wisconsis is moving faster. But Republicans aren’t there and sent a supervisor, Senator Ron Johnson, to check on the spot.
Johnson made a short tour of the counting center, and then declare that “This is a state in the balance, in what could be the most important election of our lives, and once again, this is incredibly unprofessional” and underlining the will to have surveillance videos as soon as possible to check the correct count of votes.
This resulted in an unfriendly exchange with the executive director of the Milwaukee Electoral Commission, Paulina Gutierrez, who nevertheless gave the senator availability to provide the requested material.

Cosa fanno e dicono i due candidati
Donald Trump has not made any statements. Sources saw him speak briefly with some supporters arriving at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, but for the rest it seems that the former President remained in a room with some of his “faithful”. Among these should be Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Nigel Farage, Nigel Bolsonaro (son of the former Brazilian president) and Caitlin Jenner.
Kamala Harris, on the other hand, spoke to WNOV The Voice, Mlwaukee radio station, saying he was thinking about his mother during these hours. “I’m trying to stay focused on the task to perform… I’m contacting people across the country to remind them to go out and vote, because the urns are still open for at least two hours, but I think about it. Maya and my family are all with me, so they’re all at home and the kids run around. So I have family with me — but yes, I think of my mother. I think, you know, to my uncles and aunts that helped us grow up and there are no more. But I know they are looking at us.”.
9:56PM
In Georgia si prospetta la vittoria di Trump

Democratici in affanno sui voti dei latinoamericani
Although Latin American voters are generally in favour of Kamala Harris compared to Donald Trump, Democrats have lost several votes compared to past elections, when Biden collected about 65% of the votes from this voter.
Even more drastic results based on sex. 54% of Latin men would vote Donald Trump, overturning the 2020 result. The number of women who voted Harris this year also falls, from 7 to 6 out of 10.
Another confirmation of this reversal of course comes from Miami-Dade County, Florida, including the city of Miami. Donald Trump won for the first time since 1988, when the Republicans won with George H.W. Bush. After him, they always won the Democrats.
In Miami, in fact, about 1.2 million people of Cuban origin live on a total of 2.7 million inhabitants.

10 seggi in Georgia rimarranno aperti dopo le minacce bomba
As mentioned before, between the three states that postponed the closure of the seats there is also Georgia.
Brad Raffensperger, Secretary of State of Georgia, reported that 10 polling stations in some counties will remain open longer after temporarily interrupting voting operations due to some bomb threats.
The extension of time will result in about 20-40 more. The FBI reported that threats came from Russian email domains and, therefore, they are skewed after some investigations and declassified to simple interference in the vote.
Meanwhile, it seems that turnout in the state was impressive, with over 5 million participants.

A Milwaukee 30mila schede saranno contate a mano
In MIlwaukee, a city in Wisconsis, one of the states in the balance, an observer realized that a control panel of automatic voting machines was not closed as it should have been. Therefore, the seat manager informed that the cards of that machine, which had already been read, will be counted by hand. It’s about 30,000 cards.
5:50PM
Quando aspettarsi i risultati negli stati in bilico?
In the 7 states in the balance the results of the elections will come in different times. Let’s see how:
Georgia – The closing of the seats is scheduled for 7. Most voters vote in person, with only 6% of votes coming by post. The counting speed is expected to be rapid, in 2022 it ended after 20 hours.
North Carolina – The closing of the seats is scheduled for 7:30 and even here the counting speed should be rapid with almost all the votes that is reported by midnight.
Pennsylvania – The closing of seats is scheduled for 8, but the count will be slower due to the vote count by post, which cannot be processed until the day of the elections, unlike other states.
Michigan – The closing of all seats is scheduled for 9, but here the count should be faster thanks to some new rules for early and postal voting.
Wisconsis – The closing of the seats is at 9, but the results are normally presented by the next morning.
Arizona – Even here the seats are closed for 9, but the counting speed is slower. 9 days were spent in 2020.
Nevada – It is the state that will close the seats later than all, at 10. The rate of counting is also very slow here, because post cards can reach up to four days after the elections and voters can correct any errors until November 12. It normally takes 4 days.
N.B.: by closing of the counts is the acquisition of enough definitive results to officially declare a winner of the elections in that particular state, and not count of all ballots.

Inizia la diretta delle Elezioni Presidenziali
The direct departure of IlNewyorkese with the Special Presidential Elections.
About an hour ago, the first words of Kamala Harris were leaked from the Democratic Party headquarters in Washington, where the candidate had a telephone conversation with one of the employees of his phone banking campaign, or those who call other voters to convince them to vote for Harris. CNN reported the following words: “Thank you so much for being active in participating in this very, very important process and at this foundation of our democracy. We couldn’t do it without people like you.”.
Meanwhile, preparations begin at the convention center in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the election night Donald Trump will pass, from which one expects a speech in which, he already made known, he will declare himself however winner of the elections. The same, about a quarter of an hour ago, spoke of “massive” electoral broils in Pennsylvania through its social truth account. The Philadelphia Police Department reported that he was not aware of such electoral fraud.
CNN also made it known that some seats will close later than expected, and it is seats in three states in the country, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia. The postponed closure, due to a series of technical problems, will vary from twenty minutes to two hours.
7:00AM
Il Giorno delle Elezioni, finalmente
Dopo mesi, ci siamo. Gli ultimi comizi dei due candidati si sono svolti e da oggi pomeriggio il mondo guarderà oltreoceano
In Pittsburgh and Reading, Trump painted an America on the brink of collapse, threatened by hordes of migrants, abandoned to an unstoppable crime. His words tried to inflame a voter who, according to him, is the only argine against unstoppable decay, claiming that democratic policies would lead the country to ruin.
Meanwhile, Trump ended his campaign in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Most likely it was the last committee of the former candidate: in case of victory, having already two mandates behind him, he will not be able to return; in case of defeat, at 78 years old, it is difficult to try again in the future. The rally then closed on the YMCA notes of Village People, a classic for Trump, who danced in front of the crowd.
This is it.

Kamala Harris has, instead, played another game, dreamy and optimistic, offering the Americans a narrative opposed to that of Trump, more inclusive and solidarity. His tour touched the symbolic cities of Pennsylvania, from Scranton to Philadelphia, stopping in front of the staircase made famous by Rocky and accompanied by celebrities such as Fat Joe and Katy Perry. Here he spoke of “a new beginning” and “shared future”, a country where citizens can work together to face social and economic challenges.
The last polls indicate a head-to-head race in Pennsylvania and other key states, where each vote could make a difference, although some of the last polls mark the eye on the Democrats. But they are to be taken with pliers: in the jargon they are called outlier, that is statistical exceptions. The first poll was published by Ann Slezer and gives Harris three points ahead of Trump in the state of Iowa, a state where Trump has always won in the last two elections. The other poll, published by Univision, concerns Latin American voters in Pennsylvania, and says that 64% of these would vote for Harris (and that 69% felt offended by comments made during a commune of Donald Trump, in which Puerto Rico was called “a floating garbage island”).
The stake, however, could not be higher: Trump, who aims to become the first president to return to the White House after a defeat, seems to have found in Pennsylvania an essential land of battle. Harris, for his part, aspires to become the first female president and hopes that the inclusive message will allow you to win the key state.
