PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – The functional unity of Ginecology of the nursing home Villa Serena in Palermo has recorded the execution of 1,000 gynecological surgery during the period between 1 January and 31 October 2026. The data confirm the consolidation of the surgical activity of the structure, performed both in private and in agreement with the Regional Health Service (SSR). The total volume of activity includes procedures for minimal, laparoscopic, istheteroscopic, vaginal and open-air surgery. The interventions were carried out by a dedicated team through the use of advanced instruments and last generation uroginecologic devices, aimed at reducing the time of decency and optimizing post-operative recovery. “This result,” explains Dr. Laura Giambanco, head of the Clinical Gynaecology Unit, “is the result of a teamwork that involves the close interaction between gynecologists, anestheticians and staff of the operating room.
